My Film Your Film is an online virtual film library. The films are not in any single location but are held by the library members. To access the film library you must first Sign Up .
During the Sign Up process you will be asked
to provide the details of three films that
you own and are willing to donate to the film
library. On completion of the membership payment
(£9.95/year) you will be sent an email with
your login details to the email address you
have provided. You may then login, search
or browse the library, and select a film.
When you have selected a film marked 'IN'
from the library you will receive an email
with the name and address of the member that
holds the film, and they will receive an email
telling them that the film has been requested.
You then send a stamped addressed envelope to the address provided and they send you the film. The film will be marked as 'OUT' in the library for a period of 21 days and cannot be requested by any other member. After 21 days the film will be marked as 'IN' once more and may be requested by another film library member.
As a member you are able to request one film per week.
The costs are as follows:
Membership - £9.95/year
Padded envelope – 38p
A5 manilla envelope – 21p
Postal cost to send padded envelope – 37p
Postal cost to send DVD (stamps on padded envelope) – 55p
Total cost - £1.51
Tip: reusing your padded envelope will reduce the cost to £1.13
